Sophie is a Sommelier & General Manager at Birdie's in Austin, Texas, and an art historian. Prior to her time in hospitality, she worked in the art world at various museums and galleries, eventually landing at SXSW to work on their art and art education initiatives. Through writing, Sophie explores the endless connections between her two favorite things – wine and art – and their unique ability to build and shape communities.
